DRESSCODE

Isn’t that exclusionary?
We have a strict dress code for our events. This isn’t just a suggestion or recommendation on our part—it’s a requirement for attending the party. Yes, we’ll check at the entrance. You don’t have to change in front of us, but we want you to at least show us a photo of yourself in your outfit or send it to us in advance. You’re welcome to feel comfortable and as safe as possible wearing minimal clothing here, but keep in mind that nudity alone doesn’t count as an outfit… not even with shoes. No matter what kind of shoes.
Why such a strict dress code? I feel sexiest in everyday clothes, my pajamas, or a suit/evening gown, etc. Isn’t that exclusive?
Short answer: Yes, it is. But for good reasons.
It’s wonderful that you’ve figured out which outfits—outside of our dress code—make you feel most comfortable and beautiful. And you should enjoy every second of it, even when you’re out partying! There are several party series in Graz where that’s perfectly possible. But our event isn’t one of them. Because for us, the strict dress code is part of our vision of a safe space:
In our experience, a strict dress code plays a key role in helping people fully immerse themselves in the event and fostering a sense of community among equals. After all, no one (or almost no one… no kink-shaming!) wants to feel like they’re on display in a kink zoo while partying, being gawked at by guests in jeans and sweatpants looking for material for their next happy hour conversation. Besides, Graz is a small town, and we can’t guarantee that you won’t run into someone at the event whom you know from other contexts. Be it a neighbor, your coworker, or the deli staff from the supermarket around the corner.
In short: A strict dress code means that we all show up dressed (or undressed) similarly in such a situation, putting us all in the same kinky boat. We can’t promise anonymity, but through equality and discretion (see our no-photo policy), we can create as safe an environment as possible where we can reveal ourselves almost as freely as we normally would only behind closed doors in private.
